Not sure I'd call 9.3s to 60 a rocket; it definitely shouldn't be giving a 997 any trouble whatsoever!

Check out the REVO stats on their website on mapping. The torque it creates is daft! Around 180 BHP and just under 300 torques. In gear it must be rapid and 0-60 must be done in around 7 seconds. Keep looking at them as a used purchase but just can't bring myself to buy a diesel if i'm honest. If i was though it would be a strong contender all things considered.

It probably already is re-mapped!

They feel quicker than they are due to the torque and power delivery!

Great cars though, I loved mine.

They do feel quicker than they are for sure , no bad thing , better that than a car that feels slower than it is

The highest I ever got was 82mpg. While slipstreaming a truck for 45 minutes. It wasn't the most interesting journey.

Anyway, mine was unchipped and made 163hp / 277ftlb. The 7 sec 0-60 suggested above is unrealistic as I never found it particularly fast off the lights. But I did fall into the habit of short-shifting to just enjoy the big lump of torque around 2k.

It was the best motorway car I've ever had. Fantastic for the quick burst overtakes.

The interior was as dull as anything, though. I had the SE, so I got the black leather seats which made it even duller.

First gear was useless, but 2nd gear 20-40 was brilliant!

hey. Love my Fabia Vrs.

As for mapping, be careful who you go to as the only thing you need to really worry about is the torque. Max on standard clutch and DMF is circa 170bhp and 300ft/lb and comes in hard at just below 2K rpm. Sure, there are tuners who can go higher than that but factor in the price of a new flywheel and clutch at the same time (circa £800) and its sometimes not worth it.

I had mine mapped by a company in Mansfield called "Shark performance". Nice super smooth map and as a bonus, I got 5-10 mpg extra when driving frugally. Single figures at wot though lol. Does surprise a few cars and is very good fun to drive.

As for 0-60, apparently stock it was 9.2 seconds....nah. Wouldn't believe that lol. Always seemed waaaay quicker than that. After mapping, very much doubt it's much (if anything) behind a civic type r now smile.

Just my 2p

These engines produce very good figures when the usual Stage2 mods are added + head work and a GTB turbo. 320+

I have the ibiza fr with the same engine and when mine was mapped, it did 0-60 in 6.2
It also had the miltek decat and cat back and the pd160 intake

Was addictive to drive it hard, ended up putting it back to stock map as I just didn't get any decent mpg lol
