MKII S front splitter

Sadly my sweet hart just trashed the second front splitter on our 04 MK1 S (I did the first one 
. Looking at the pics it seems the MKII spliter gives better ground clearance. As I canot even get off my drive without it rubing, I wondered if I could A. fit a MKII spliter and B. get one out of the factory insted of buying another MK1 type?
