'inlets' + oil

Its not just the go juice either. It will drink some of the slippy stuff too so get yourself a 4ltr jug of mobil 1 or whatever yours has been run on. Check your oil regular as clockwork (and the other fluids). Consumption varies so you need to find what is normal for yours.
Mine likes a 1ltr per 1200 to 1500 miles but others use more and some less.
Hope its going well
P.S. don't forget to modify your front door so that you can get your grin through
Does anyone have any under bonnet pics/diagrams of the various oil, water, washer, dipstick, and fluid inlets? I was shown 5 minutes before I drove off, and I cant remember which is which (but must admit I havnt looked since) and want to make sure I know which is which
Incidentally, I was told that mobil 1 was NOT the best oil for a cerb, its too thin and that castrl R fully synthetic was best. I asked if Mobil 1 was best as I remember reading here that many use it. Anyone technically minded got comments to share?
oil should be obvious at the front passengerside of the engine there's a big cap
.
Water is passenger side wing and brake fluid is driver's wing.
Clutch is a big because you have to take of the black plastic cover on the drivers side but you shouldn't need to do this too often
.
Check your oil lots or risk lunching your beautiful car
.
I would recommend Millers racing 10w-60 fully synthetic, great price for a great oil.
It pays to open the bonnet more than you ever have with any other car and check things like oil/water as this is your dream car and needs TLC.
On the opposite side of the scale my mate has an FQ300 and doesn't even know where the dipstick is! (probably does really but you know what I mean
).
Thrashes the monkeys out of it with not a care in the world!

Mobil 1 fully synthetic is a good oil, nothing wrong with it, but engine will be more 'rattly' with Mobile 1 - yet its a lamer oil, just bang it in, heats up quick and you're off.
Joospeed uses a very good oil, which is thicker, has its advantanges in reducing engine noise, but then it creates more oil-fightback in a wetsump setup until REALLY heated up, so its a good thing to let her heat up for 10-15 mins before driving off - but if you follow the warm up routine, then you've got the best lubrication your engine can have.

Don't forget, Mobil 1 comes in more than the usual 0W/40 grade. 5W or the Motorsport 15W/50 is better.
Other oil manufacturers have equally good oils. The emphasis should be on frequent changes using a good quality oil not once a year on something like the pricey Mobil.

Im now told 10-40 is best, viscosity too thick nor thin, good for me as I dont thrash nor push my motor and ideally warmup times wont be too long either as I do a lot of short 5-20 mile trips. Fully synth is not necessary (more useful on cars with 20-30k service limits - between our 6k services a cerb wouldnt have a chance to break down the oil so natural is ok) and so im planning on going with castrol magnatec 10/40, from this day on, sound about right to everyone?

Dont use cerb for a lot of less than 10 mile trips. That is the worst thing for a cerb. IMHO.
Lots of owners stick to a very rigorous approach ie dont go over x revs for n miles, then not over x + Y revs for the next n miles etc and then go for it !
