I think I need help...

Don't know if anyone else finds this a problem, but I have a habit of absolutely not tearing myself away from the computer if I still have any pages left to look at.

The problem starts when I click > Automotive > Classic cars. And can't leave it alone in case theres an Aston going for a ton on the next page... you never know! aaaaarrggh the hours i've wasted (work)

Am I alone? Is there a cure?

Not alone. I too find it very adictive. Clock watching at work to log in 5 mins before the end of an auction, just to see the outcome, even if I have a snipe bid for the amount I am willing to part with!!

Ive have an ebay problem at the moment. I do a search for parts to do with my car.

Something will come up like a new heater unit module and it will be cheep. Now I dont need one but if I ever do it will be hundreds cos its not likely there will be one on Ebay if I ever need one.
So do I buy it just in case or not?

Its doing my head in wish I never went on it .

I too pore over the classic / automotive pages.

Mind you, my computer is tucked away in the corner of my living room. At least I have something to look at when my wife is watching the countless mind numbing soaps / reality tv programmes.

Trouble is I keep buying things....

Chris,
That sprint has been on a couple of times. I had my beady eye on it when it last came up. I do like those sprints.

Its another one id have if i had the money, although maybe transplant in one of the 16v engines. They may not be the purest of the alfasud breed, but they sure are tasty.

Edit : The coupe with the flames on though, that will be recieving a bid when the time comes....

In a weak moment (OK, several weeks) as a result of an Ebay habit I ended up buying 120 different lots..all watches. I had no use for them. Given as gifts until everyone was bloody sick of watches. They lay in drawers until sold via a local antiques centre and back through Ebay. Finally went cold turkey. Still look longingly in jewellers windows and at people's wrists whilst out shopping and in meetings. Now only buy/give at Christmas. Getting easier as long as I don't watch the start of news at ten.

Looking again at that picture I darent think about how you ever managed to stop towing that. My friends dad had a macgregor and they used to tow that with a landcruiser. Towing it one day they came down a hill one day and had to stop behind a queue of cars at some lights. When they finally stopped, they were on the pavement, alongside the lead car in the queue and the brakes were on fire.

Is there actually any point in searching ebay to buy something on the cheap that you could sell for a profit elsewhere. I have often been tempted to do it but not sure I could take the risk!

You often see bits of ebay'age like that, especially boats for some reason or another.

Serious eBay problem with me . I've bid ( serious bids too ) on all sorts stuff I have no idea what I'd do with . Last week it was an old bakerlite Iraqi field telephone in a wooden box and winding handle on the side from the 60s . It looked cool as can be and I was thinking about converting it for home use.Missed out on that tho ..

Love the 2 Aston Martin Vantages on there at the mo
