NOW That's What I Call a Keeper

I attended the Bonhams auction at AM Works last Saturday and was fascinated by the history of this particular 1954 Aston DB2/4
First registered in June 1954, this particular DB2/4 was sold new to Mr Grahame S Bourne, a businessman from Rochdale in Lancashire.
Aged 34, he purchased this brand new Aston Martin and kept it for 57 years until he was 91 years old.

A really lovely, original car and I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as its first owner.

My wife liked the story so much she caught auction fever and thought we should bid for it and give it a good home. Fortunately it was green (long story that I won't bother you with) otherwise I could have been in serious trouble
Fantastic looking car and one of the Aston models that never seems to get the admiration that they should IMO. I love the look of them, perhaps even more than the 4/5/6's and they always look decent value against them. Perhaps one day - but not a green one!

Ian,
Was that your Flugplatz V12S Roadster in the car park at Woburn on Sunday?
It sure was. Spent the day washing her and cannot believe how many flies committed suicide on the bonnet. She looked like she had been on a European Tour rather than a weekend away Was that your Flugplatz V12S Roadster in the car park at Woburn on Sunday?
Still, looks pristine now!!!!Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
