Hi, would like any feedback from any 400/450 owners who have had the Turbo conversion.
How long they have had it, how many miles since conversion. Which conversion did they have torque v8 turbo kit or powers turbo kit. Any issues since conversion, what modifications had been done before and any after. What gains can be expected. What about reliability.
Anyone know what the difference is between the torque v8 and powers turbo kit.

Hi Dave, I had Torque V8 turbo kit installed by Eann. No problems to report other than I have caused. Modifications before and after, I upgraded the brakes, shortened the trumpets and added a thermal insulator to the trumpet base before. After the installation I fitted an aluminium radiator I had manufactured by Highflow . New 5.0l clutch was recommended by Eann prior to turbo fitment but I did after burning the old one out.How long they have had it, how many miles since conversion. As far as I know there isn't much difference between Powers and Eann kit other than the Engine management system.

Clive F said he may be interested in making Y-prices to accept a turbo and a thread a few weeks back. You could then bolt on your own turbo and source your own parts. I recall seeing a post a couple of years back with somebody modding both manifolds with a turbo on each (RV8). Not sure when happened to it.
Both Eann's and Powers turbo packages come highly recommended too.

That may have been Neal1980s old motor which currently resides in my car. Plenty of info on here if you search Neal1980.Incidentally it has been ultra reliable, no problems for me in circa 15000 miles except for a broken gearbox........
