Anyone work in New Homes?

As many of you know, i'm in Estate Agency.
Looking to broaden my horizons, and maybe work closely with a developer to market new homes.
Could really do with some extra experience with a developer, and would be available one day a week to learn more about this side of the industry... I'm based in the South East.
Most need to learn about the planning/plot selection/costing side of the business more than how to sell houses... I already do that
