Thanks or the reply.
It is me sending and receiving.
An internet purchase.
I am arranging it all.
The removals company who are doing the shipping sent me a form to fill out, so i am guessing that is it.
I had to declare value etc on the form.
Doesn't matter if it's you arranging it, it is still up to the person sending it to present the correct documentation. It is me sending and receiving.

You can provide the shipper with a commercial/proforma invoice for customs, by the sounds of it that is what the removals company have sent you. Don't forget the customs duty/VAT when it arrives this end.
So far the removals company i am using (although it is not a move) has sent me a c3 to declare goods that might need vat/duty paid when moving to the uk.
The c3 didn't really fit my circumstances, but i put the items on there with values etc.
I also gave them proof of purchase -
Ie original advert on internet.
Copy/proof of paypal payment.
Website page showing item sold to me.
Screenshots of conversations with seller.
They will presumably send the c3 and other docs to their agent at the airport.
There is no invoice.
As far as the seller is concerned, the truck will load up the items and leave.
He is a orivate seller.
Should we be donng something else?

A C3 form is for importing personal belongings to the European Community, as these speakers are a purchase and import a C3 is the wrong form.
Why did you instruct a removals company to collect them?
You may have problems with clearing customs as the paperwork you've supplied show it is a purchase.

Hi,
Just a single pair of speakers and your using a removals company ? I think that's a little overkill. I often import car wheels in sets of 4 from the USA to the UK, usually a minimum of 19 inch in diameter. I usually have two wheels strapped together to make one 'cube' shaped package of 'around' 23KG. Two of those packages I then arrange from here in the UK to be collected and shipped to the UK.
Have a look on parcel2go, transglobal express and p4d.co.uk where you can get instant quotes on importing to the UK.
The simple way is to have the person who has the speakers package them up nicely and then send you dimensions. Find the best quote, pay and arrange a collection date. Ensure the person the other end is around to give to the courier on that day. You'll provide information on the value of the goods in the package and details of them etc. Once they land in the UK, the shipping company will pay the relevant import duty, VAT and clearance fees and then send you a bill to pay. Once you pay that, the package will be released to delivery to you in the UK. Simple, easy and straightforward.
Cheers, Dennis!
