Evening all Chaps, recently completed 6 months ownership of cerb and I am coming upto my frist service on my 98 4.5. Still an un-beliveable driving experience

Used to take my chimera to Kerridges which was a bit of a journey from Benfleet Essex, I am looking for recomendations for a cerb service. Do I look local or travel further a field to get the best to look at her ??

I know Levens have just started servicing AJP v8's any comments on thier cerb servicing ?? as I live just round the corner.

look forward to hearing all your experiences and recommendations.

cheers

Hiya John,

Castle TVR have serviced the Peril since we have had her apart from a couple at Kerridges.

Ian would sort you out and we get the advantage of a nice 'cruise' down the A120

Although not local to you, I'd recommend any of the following.

Joospeed
TVR Power
TopCats
Silverstone TVR

How much extra for collection and delivery Joo

I would love to take her to someone who can give her a good going over so I can go forward knowing she is in tip top shape making it easier for me to keep her that way AND FROM WHAT i HEAR YOU ARE A BIT OF A CERBERA GOD Joo .

However Paddy tells me its only 2 1/2 hours each way !!

Joospeed or Austec

It's the only two places I've used for servicing and both have been very good, but Austec had better coffee.

joking Joolz, I know you'll look after the car for the next one

Horizon Motorsport in Birmingham is half way...... can't fault them with either my Chim or Cerb. They've had her in for this, that, and the other, and now she feels brand new!

Considering the age of your car, main dealer servicing is not an issue, so I'd go for Leven as they now do servicing, good prices and in Essex.

Otherwise Austec (Gatwick), APM (Liphook, Hampshire) or Joolz (way up North) are all very good.

Thanks for all your comments/recomendations.

Levens it is, spoke to Simon today and he sold it to me with Dan sounding more than capable of looking after the cerb. Seeing them for chat initially before actual service.

cheers

I believe Dan (Taylor) at Leven was a mechanic for the Synergy team at Le Mans last year. Let me know how you get on as I usually take mine to Castle TVR in Stansted.

Hi John,
Welcome to the wonderful world of the Cerbie. I live not a million miles away in Rayleigh, so keep a look out for me in a green Cerb.
I actually use Fernhurst for my servicing. Not the closest I'll admit, but I've used them for years and have always found them to be very good.

Cheers,
Neil

Hi Guys,

Have got the Cerb booked in at Leven for mid March as I live in Leigh. Have been down to them and was very impressed with the service area and the pride they take in their TVRs. Let me know how you get on with the service.

Used to work for CDL on the Tuscan's before that, but was part of the Synergy Le Mans team last year.

I know it's not the same, but Dan / Leven fettle my Chim and I've been very happy with the work I've had done.

The deed has been done, the 12k service has been completed by Dan @ Levens. I must say Dan has done a top job and definetly knows his stuff , the car had come home to him as he was involved in the PDI at its birth. They showed me my round the car during the pre service inspection to discuss faults and options, customer service was exceptional. Especially as I had another flat battery (now has a sparkling new one)on the day it was due in. Both Dan and Simon came out to get it going for me and took it back.

Simon was happy to speak to me on a daily basis with updates as well as picking me up from the train station when it was ready for collection, again could not fault the customer service i recieved

The car is running superb now especially as it was also decatted, what a noise. I am already for the rolling road day now to see what its kicking out.

Top bunch of people at Levens !!!
