750 Holley carburettor - 2 questions

It would either be for a pcv breather line from the rocker cover or be a vacuum line for the brake servo. Does it go into the base plate? Is it a thick walled hose or fairly thin?
Good book is Tuning Holley Carburettors by alex wallordy, think that's the gents name. Real Steel in Uxbridge sell a few books on the holley.

I plan to take my Sports to Ultima to bypass the brake servos (remove them from the brake circuit) since they are not required and in fact not advised by AP or Ultima on the AP racing brakes if you have the right master cylinders.
BUT now I wonder can I just disconnect the vacuum feed ? I.e. plug the carb's port but leave the hose open going to the servos. This would prevent the servos getting any assistance and maybe act as if they aren't there ?
Any opinions before I naively go playing with such safety critical systems ?
cheers
Roger.
