Inspirational video of Thomas Bannister, who, since suffering a Left Brachial Plexus injury, and losing the use of his left hand, has adapted his mountain bike to ride one-handed. He doesn't appear to let it hold him back, neither...

...a single front ring, both brakes on the right hand side, and a steering damper seem to be the only mods he needs too. He certainly looks more comfortable chucking his bike around than I seem to with my two good arms, and getting more 'air' than I'm comfortable with. Chapeau, Thomas!

I saw him recently at Cwmcarn. I'm not too proud to admit that he was catching me on the climb, possibly because I kept looking behind trying to understand why someone was doing the climb one-handed.

Looked pretty quick on the DH too!

Interesting in the car park later where he dismantled his bike to get it in his car without any assistance and even helped his able bodied mate who was slower!
