I'm not entirely sure what the thing I'm after is called, but some years back I remember seeing a demo on shopping TV (yes I know 
) of some tablets that you could drop in a bowl of very hot water, then leave oven racks, saucepans, basically anything with horrible baked on crud to soak for 24 hours and it would remove all the crap.
Can anyone suggest anything similar that can be sourced locally please?
