Why the hell have they made a remake of this film. I saw it advertised this morning on the way into work. From memory the basic concept was a bunch of cops and crims held up in a police station fighting a gang. The only reason help didn’t arrive was because they had cut the phone lines.

Well this is 2005, what is going to happen. 20 people held up without mobile reception or flat batteries FFS

I love that film. I first watched it when I was little and being a bit scared must have seen it 4 times on TV now. Is it going to be remade so in 70's or modern day?

Just another pile of poo from the old nag pulling the Hollywood remake bandwagon.

Different storyline to this film, in this it's a gang of criminals attacking the station to release a gangster held there.

Police that are criminals and I take it they didn't have laser sights and night vision when the orginal was made.
To be fair I still really want to see this looks like it could be a good action film.

Sure was. Also used on Bomb the Bass - Megablast 12" 1988. As well as a computer game I forget the name of.
