Oops posted this message on wrong forum - doh!! Got it right now.

I used to sit in my cerbie looking at the temp needle soar to 100/105º before it began to cool down? Well I don't anymore courtesy of a "Mod-wise.com" cooling fan system. Now me[sic] cerbie doesn't rise above 92º AND the fans keep going after I've switched off (like all good little cars should!!). There are many variations including one that has both fans coming on at the first original level and again staying on until things cool down. I chose a fully adjustable system which just plugged into the original fan system taking its supply direct from the battery. He's a real nice guy so give him a call if you would like to do something similar.

Does this mod work for the cerbera? i thought they were controlled from the ecu, or does it not matter?

I spoke to mod-wise a while ago and the mod wasnt suitable for the cerbie for the above reason, has that changed now?

thing about the cerbie is that the fans are controlled by the ECU as you rightly say, on at 92 / 94 deg. but also the cerbie temp gauge is notorious for over-reading by 8-10 deg C. most of the time if you check the temp sender signal against the gauge and laser thermometer you find the gauge reads 105 when the coolant's at 95 ... if it's overheating there's a fault.

Out of interest, is the 92/94 the first stage, if so when does the next stage come on?

can't remember off hand, will try and check today - but the two stages are quite close together. I'll get back to you later today hopefully.

They are and don't forget the connector corrosion problem which often means there is only one fan coming on and fools you into thinking that it is just a part stage situation...
