What BHP should a healthy M3 Evo make at the wheels?
Discussion
I'm just checking this out really in case I could make it into the Trackday Trophy with an Evo instead of a 3.0.
What kind of transmission loss do Evos generally have and what's typical power at the rear wheels for a healthy standard example?
I keep seeing conflicting weights given for them too. A saloon, with metal sunroof and then the seats and carpets stripped, buckets added and a cage, any idea what it might weigh approximately?

Most seem to make 290 - 300 but good ones ( new oil & filter, good vanos setup and valve clearances all correct ) make around 315.
BMW rated the engine at 321PS / 316.6HP............ assuming 18-20% average drivetrain loss for various different models of dyno.
316.6 flywheel HP x .80 = 253WHP for 20% loss
316.6 flywheel HP x .81 = 256.5WHP for 19% loss
316.6 flywheel HP x .82 = 260WHP for 18% loss.

Can't help with the power, only dyno'd my 3.0s & 328s, all dynos vary so much anyway, can get 270 on one 320 on another.
Weight wise, well 1500 kg area stock if you want an m3 can be in the low 1100s easy, not sure if sub 1100 is pos with m3 (is with 328) but close to it is, if however you keep all glass & all steel panels mid to low 1200s with big losses if you want them coming from, ac & aut pump delete, exhaust, wheels, alloy doors (OK not on a saloon) battery, sunroof removal wiring loom strip etc, seats choice, & how you spec cage- from basic to v complex. All that lot adds up to 150odd kg difference.
Oh & evo dif & the 6 speed box all weigh more than 3.0 stuff, not that many folks retain the 6speeder
