Must have 360 games + TV question
Discussion
Hi,
Just picked up a 360 (primarily to play GTA V) but was wondering what other "must have" games would be the ones to go for.
I've currently got:
GTA V - Which I like, but finding the controls a bit hard to get used to!
IL2 2 Sturmovik - Which I like so far, not tried on "simulator" type flight physics
X-Com - Probably my favourite, I like the more strategic games
Forza 4 - Needs a 60hz TV to play
Fifa 15 - see above
Haven't got any FPS or RPG type games, was thinking of Halo or similar but open to suggestions.
Currently hooked upto an old CRT Sony, but was wondering if an older LCD (something picked up on Gumtree or ebay) for 50 quid or so might do the trick. Would all / most older LCD sets (with HDMI) have the required screen rate?

Gears of War 1-3 + judgement should be available for a few quid. Metro 2033 and Metro Last Night are good, as is far cry 3.
ETA: ideally you'll want a 1080 LCD TV (should be cheap to pick up now as the oldest have been out 10 years or so); but HD ready would do the trick also.

OP, you know the Xbox One is out, right?
Anyway, anything with an HDMI port will do, you practically can't buy a tv without one, then go into the settings menu on your Xbox and configure your output for the TV.
It is out, but the 360 has a massive library of games, most of which are dirt cheap, and when it comes to the older ones you generally don't have to shell out another £40 on DLC either. Even a pretty basic flatscreen will make a vast difference, as games simply aren't designed with older CRTs in mind. Anyway, great games that could likely be picked up for the cost of the latest COD Season Pass:Anyway, anything with an HDMI port will do, you practically can't buy a tv without one, then go into the settings menu on your Xbox and configure your output for the TV.

Some of us are loathe to replace our expensive wheel/pedal setups, plus buy new games etc...at the moment. We're not all wealthy, or living on credit.
And for me there simply aren't any killer apps that would persuade me. Forza Horizon 2 and Killer Instinct look great, but not £400 greatGassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
