Despite extensive googling, I can't find the definitive answer -

Is it necessary to remove the bumper on a 987.1 to fit Zunsport front grilles?

No need to remove the bumper, the two side grill go in very simply, they ask you to drill a hole for the upper lugs but i found it easier to heat a small screwdriver and melt the holes

They clip in from the front. Might take a little bit of bending to get them to fit nicer. Once done there's a single screw that needs putting into the soft plastic. It's a self-tapper and I just went straight in with it. If you've got a small drill bit you could pilot it, but I found you didn't need to. It's hidden away under the spotlight spar so it's not a problem.

Best pic I can find of them fitted:

Have a look on Planet9, someone there is bound to have done it to a Turbo.

The turbo ones are one piece, and fit on the outside, and frankly look awful. I fitted my own on the inside, which involves removing the bumper, but it's not too onerous. Search youtube.
