Eurosport question, is this kit ok ?

I know it's been covered before but.......

can someone tell me it this kit, 80cm dish and LMB is any good for German Eurosport using an old sky box without any card or subscription.

Or, do we use a Freeview box ?

The dish and LNB should be great. Not so sure about the Sky box though, I think it needs to be a digital box. Better to buy or take a sat freeview box like I do.

Freesat box OK but not a sky box ? Does FreeSAT get German Eurosport ? Or can we use an old sky box without a card ? Getting confused here !

Sky boxes only pick up english sky channels so you'll need a valid card in it to get uk eurosport. You need a freesat box to pick up the free german eurosport. Not to be confused with a freeview box which connects to an aerial and won't pick up anything in France.

I take my old sky box with no card for english channels when the race isn't on then swap to the freesat box to get the free German Eurosport during the race.

P.S. If you're into football England are playing Slovenia in a euro qualifying game on the Sunday evening at 6pm (french time)
