Buying a Tudor Black Bay privately

I'm considering buying a preowned Black Bay. Seem to be quite a few at the dealers and a few on evilbay etc.

Can anyone advise on what a 'good' price would be for one privately?

Ideally with all box/papers etc but that's not a show stopper.

Not sure on used prices, but can get a new one for about £1400 from European dealers on Chrono24.

Probably not far off what they're selling for used over here?

Yep, cheaper buying from an EU reseller, as most sellers in the UK will have bought at the higher UK AD prices or using that to price theirs in accordance with.

Thanks gents, that's a very appealing option. I'll go and have a look at some of the euro dealers and see what I can find. Really appreciate the steer, was thinking used would be more than that

Do remember the ignore the £2200ish UK list price. I see them regularly sold new for around £1900.

As others have said, £1500-1600 2nd hand seems reasonable.

Yes, but unless you can be bothered to do 50 posts and wait two months to be able to access the classifieds it's of limited use, I'd say.

2-3 months is when the new 'essay' version of the Pelagos is expected to hit the ADs, so plenty of time to build up the requisite post count and timeframe, before trawling SC for those pre-owned ones being offloaded for the new (blue) version.
