Shaving the boot carpet

I was telling the missus about my latest attempt to smarten up the GTS, having spent an hour or so revitalising its boot carpet with my electric shaver (it was very 'bobbly'). My son, who was only half listening, started laughing and asked what "shaving the boot carpet" was code for.

And to think that people laughed when they found me shaving the alcantara seats in my last car. Seems positively normal compared to shaving the boot carpet
