Hi guys

Found a lovely manual V10, took it out and loved the experience and feel but undecided whether I would want paddle once ownership comes into play.

What are your experiences please?

Thanks

I've had a manual and currently have a flappy paddle v10.

The manual is a lovely gate and shift. I tended to stay in gear longer and not hit the top end of the rev range so often, which made me savour the torque of the engine. The engine felt really creamy in the manual.

The flappy paddles by contrast make me drive like a hooligan all the time and it's all a bit wham bang thank you ma'am as you hit the limiter gear after gear. In some ways it's not as satisfying because you don't savour the engine and car if that makes sense? The reason I moved to a flappy paddle was that I wanted a spyder, and the blip on the downshift is a lovely lovely noise, and is best heard with the rear window down. You could of course "replicate" it in a manual by heel toeing, but that's a bit impractical sometimes.

You should try both as they do change the character of the car.

You win some internet points today then, well done sir! A manual V10 is a delightful thing.
