Hi I know it's a fairly common fault , no reflection at all who replaced them as it's definitely nothing the fitters have done wrong , but on the Monaro the rear crank seal was done feb 2014 and that's leaking and Maloo rear was done prob same sort of time and the rear and now front are leaking on the maloo , the areas are wet but never seen a actual drop of oil from Monaro where it's parked , and only see two drops of oil under where the Maloo is parked , my knowledge of cars is a wet sump as I call its not unusual , I don't want clutch problems ,area is damp with the odd drip sitting there , it would be expensive if they need sorting as not a little job , any thoughts from any one please , thanks in advance

I would clean the sump area right off and then have another look 100 miles later, what sometimes looks like the front seal may just be a slight seapage from the sump to engine joint, which is not worth worrying about, but that is only my opinion.

Also make sure your crankcase breather setup is working correctly and not blocked.

Excessive pressure can cause leaks.

When i fitted my headers i found it was just a build up of spillage from topping the oil up followed the trace along the rocker cover edge down the back of the block and off the bottom of the bell housing even the smallest spill travels a long way.
