I've always thought the clutch was particularly stiff / heavy however thought it was a trait of the Astons having never driven any others but mine.

The bite point was getting higher and higher so I took it to be looked at. Obviously clutch failure was imminent they said rolleyes so I booked it in for a new one.

Well I wished I did it months ago, it feels like a new car. The clutch is light and the bite point low, the gear change is a bit clunky, not as smooth as before but not sure if I'm imagining that, I need to drive it a bit more.

Had the emission warning lights on saying urgent service required but I think this is because they had the sensors out or so they said.

In reverse on the biting point it judders a bit now (is that normal?) Also I have a proper stinky clutch in reverse which I never suffered from before!

Just thought I would share as the driving experience with the new clutch is much better.

New clutch.....where did you get it done? Dealer or aftermarket type from a specialist?

Did you not consider a twin-plate clutch (aftermarket) which will be a lot easier to use and probably last a lot longer with less smell and judder?
