Octavia DSG 07. Acceleration loss\Cruise control loss

Evening all,

The car was fine this morning. We had very heavy rain this afternoon. The drive home wasn't too good.
The auto gear changing is erratic. From about third it's not changing up\down when it should and little response from the pedal. I got home ok though. I have just done the throttle reset trick. Also the Cruise Control has ceased to function. Just wondering if it's merely some water got in somewhere or maybe something more. Anyone had similar ?

This could be a red herring but I remember the crusie control packed up on my A4 when the brake pedal switch broke, it could be worthwhile you searching the forums to see whether other Octavia owners have reported similar problems.
