MBE ECU - Speed Six vs AJP8

Can I convert a Speed Six MBE to AJP8 by swapping chips or are they fundamentally different?

Reason I ask is that there is an MBE on eBay that is affordable, and my MBE might be broken.

Thanks - I am one of Joolz customers, he remapped my car. But I don't think that entitles me to free advice which is why I have not contacted him directly. If he has the time to reply to this thread then that is great, but I want to try crowd-sourcing first.
