The cork gaskets are prone to leakage over time; you can nip the sump bolts up a bit and that might stop it for a while but inevitably the gasket has to be changed (mine's seeping now, 14 years after I last rebuilt it).
The other likely culprit is the crankshaft front oil seal.

The sump gasket is something Ive done recently, and following a thread on the TVR general forum showing the degredation of the cork sump gasket and consequential blocking of the oil sump pick up that has caused top end oil starvation, I have decided not to use one at all, I have used a good quality RTV sealant instead!

I havent run the new engine yet, but it should be pretty easy to sort if It does have any leaks... I hope.

It is supposed to leak a little bit to preserve the chassis.

Hi. Just done mine with Loctite black silicone (the one that is suitable for use on joints that are in permanent contact with oil). All fine so far.

Don't nip the bolts up too tight then go back under after a few miles and tighten them up a bit. I used hermatite red as a sealant on the gasket. All leak free now at the sump. But another couple to find and stop.
