Right chaps, starting to put the Cerb back together and I need a little help from those who have gone before.

the control arm to chassis attachment, bottom left of the pic below

attaches to the lower bolt hold in the front web.

Thing is, the hole in the web is 10mm

but the poly part of the bush powerflex have given me is a headed thing and the sleeve that goes inside has what looks like a 14mm inside diameter.

I never thought i would need to take pictures of bush sizes.

you can see that i would have a problem with a 10mm bolt through the web and a 14mm inside sleeve diameter.

Have any of you lads polybushed the control arm and did you have this issue.

i cant find any info so i dont know if they have supplied me with the wrong bush or is there sleeve inside a sleeve. Any advice appreciated.

I've used powerflex bushes and do not remember having that problem, I think they've probably supplied you with the wrong sleeve.

I used an original bush so not 100% sure, but don't you need to use the big metal washer/spacer either side of it?

This is what i was hoping to see, I have all the original washers in plastic bags with the old bolts. The lip on it makes sense i'll dig it out tonight! Thanks mate very much appreciated.

No problem, just in the final stages of a full chassis restoration myself!

I found this site useful for getting some answers - it has a full exploded view of front and rear suspension and lots more

As I am just putting the bushes back in and you are ahead of me on the journey I could have a few more questions for you as I continue. Assuming you dont mind that is?

The metal sleeve that goes inside the polybush sits over the projection on the big spacers. The polybush then slides over that. The hole in the spacers is what aligns the bolt - it doesn't touch the inside of the sleeve. Not a great photo (of my polybush that fell apart after a month!) but I think it shows what I mean.
