Mazda MX5 1.6 Turbo
Discussion
Browsing ebay as my student loan was due to be paid was never going to end well, spotted an auction for a turbo mk1 mx5 with no mot but it looked clean enough, £1200 bid later and the car was mine.

It is a 1993 Eunos 1.6 with a t28 strapped to the side. Bad points originally were:
No MOT
Blown Front Shocks
No air filter
No Horn
No screen wash pump
New dished steering wheel sorted the horn issue

then a washer pump off an old british leyland car sorted that issue along with some replacement shocks for the front.
Assumed this would be all that's required for an MOT but a quite long MOT fail sheet apparently not. it failed on corroded hard brake lines on all corners and also some bits of welding. With that all sorted then could get focused on getting it to run to it's potential.
The car originally was running a Flyin Miata voodoo box piggy back ecu to control fuelling and a MSD sebring boost controller for the timing which i have no replaced for a standalone MS2 and also fitted an AEM Wideband

At the same time i purchased RX8 Yellow Top 420cc injectors and an intercooler off an Iveco Daily which i am currently waiting on, should have scope for 250bhp after these are fitted. Also bought a replacement t28 as the one on the car has started to smoke.

And that's where it stands as of today. it is an absolute laugh to drive in the wet and it's odd to drive an mx5 with actual power below 4k.
