Hi,

I'm think of driving down the Monaco for this Sunday. Two questions I'm hoping someone might be able to help with:

1) Without a ticket is there a bar or area to watch the race on TV and soak up some of the atmosphere. Can you even get into Monaco without a ticket?

2) If I were to buy a ticket, and suggestions on where to buy from. The official F1 site is showing only very expensive tickets available for Sunday.

Thanks

Monaco is open! You only need a ticket for the track. There may still be cheaper tickets. Last year the rocher was showing as sold out a couple of weeks before on the site but tickets were still available during race weekend.
There are also lots of street sellers offering balcony views. Prices go up and down depending on demand but seem a bit cheaper than official grandstands.
You'll have a great time if you only watch it in a bar, see the whole race, listen to the cars and them walk the track. It's open straight after the race and you'll be able mingle with the fans, teams and perhaps drivers.
Have a great trip.

FLying in on Sunday for it.
Yes you can generally get balcony tickets on the day. ie - pay to watch it from someone's balcony. Booze and food is generally included.
Do not try to drive in to Monaco. Best to park up and get the train in from Nice. Or AirMonaco Heli in - it's 250euro for 7mins but there's no better way to arrive wink

Aaaaaargh, Im leaving tmrw morning by car super early and have a ticket that I want to sell, it's a great ticket in stand V (the tiny stand on the final turn between pit entrance and start / finish straight within the first 10 rows!

I'm taking the spare ticket with me to sell, if I say anymore I will probably get banned or deleted or something!

You could contact a place called Stars n Bars and watch it in there, it's a bar right beside the paddock but you'll be watching it on TV (the outside tables are eparated by a wire fence but the drivers literally walk past)

As for watching from Sector Rocher which is an area above stand V, good luck with that, it,s usually packed, standing only and no re-admittance!

Not sure what else to say
