That's about on the money for a dealers car with approx 20k miles.

If it's a private sale and the car is still under manufacturers warranty you should be able to knock a few grand off the asking price. If there's no warranty the discount is even greater.

If you want to have a laugh tell him the trade price

Don't know if this is of interest, but Phillip Woolley may have an 04 car with 3k, silver and black leather. It's a fully loaded RHD vehicle, with one catch. It was originally a personal import from Cyprus. He wants about £50k for it. www.911sport.co.uk or call him on 01526 397911. Say Simon gave you his number if you're interested.

as i am in the process of looking to offload my c4s i have a little experience of the wide range of trade in prices. my car is an april 2003 with 14600 miles on the clock.... silver black leather etc. i have been offered between 47 and 55k (the 55k was for a trade in for another car though that i decided not to buy) for it at trade. i am currently selling it privately for 53k. nick whale offered me a few hundred over 50k a week or so ago. if you look on their website they now have a similar car a year older up for 57k. hence i believe your mates 52k is reasonable, but clearly my 53k for a newer car still under manufacturers warranty is a much better deal. costs to extend the warranty for a year #750... why go to a dealer????
