Insurance premium due. James from Carole Nash phones me with £179 quote, managed to get £20 off so £159 with full breakdown cover and all sorts of other things I probably will never use. Happy with that. Now just the oil leak from the R/H of steering rack and a misfire to sort out when hot and the fun will begin again.
Been with Carole Nash for the 10 years I have had wedge. Tried other firms last year and could not get cheaper so decided to stay with them. As for misfire have changed amp and still same. Its the oil leak I am concerned about, drips a bit from R/H side off the lower wishbone bush. Had a look round and cannot see anything obvious . Will get it up in the air next week and have a look.

It also depends on where you live, age, points, number of vehicles and if you're married. Sometimes it's cheaper if you include the Mrs and sometimes I wonder who makes up these rules.
Tony. TCB.
It knocked £40 off mine by taking the missus off my policy.Tony. TCB.
She has no experience of any high performance vehicle so they obviously load the premium accordingly
I was gutted this year, my premium with RH Specialist went up a fiver to £108
That's with Nursy on as a named driver.
Misfire when hot that isn't the ignition amp... hmmm. Could be the HT coil, might even be the pickup in the distributor, could be injection system related. Is it a misfire at steady throttle, under hard acceleration, at idle...?
Usually a dying pickup manifests itself as an inability to rev... I swapped half the engine bay trying to fix mine, it was only when the pickup failed completely and I plugged a spare in that the fault disappeared.
