Er, where can I get a chrome outer headlamp surround for my S2?

My offside one appears to have walked...

Any Classic Mini Spares place such as:

Mini spares
Mini Shop
Mini Speed
Mini Sport
Mini Trailers

IIRC if you look around you can get SS ones. I found that a blob of hot melt glue gun does well for securing them if you can't get the screw in place.

Ah - Mini headlamps! All becomes clear. SS ones would be good if not much more expensive. Thanks Wildfire. Need to find a glue gun now...

Are they supposed to be quite loose when on the car? My brother is continually disappointed by them rattling. It would be nice to get them tight but easily take-off-able just to keep him quiet.

I have new S/S ones on mine, one fits perfectly, no glue just clipped on and is tight!! the other needed a little glue to hold it in place like Chris said.

IIRC the S/S ones were cheaper than chrome?

I have used Glue on my minis for years now. Easy to take off, with a little force and I've never lost one. SS ones aren't quite as shiny as the chrome ones.

Sorry Dale, cant remember where from the details were on my old work computer, but it was an online Mini site, like the ones Wildfire mentions, could have been mini-spares.co.uk IIRC something of that ilk anyway. If you cant find any let me know and I might be able to dig out the address of the person that gave me the contact address!

Mini Spare generally do the best quality mini kit around. Mail Orders ok, but there are a few shops about.

Got mine from there and they are good quality.

They attend most shows, so if we do decide to meet at a major event this summer we should have places like SVC and Europaspares, both have excellent kit on their stands and just the kind of bits we all look for.

Chrome bezels, switches, lights, trim, seats, carpets, soundproofing, polished rockers, filters, wheels, targa roof catches ...all sorts!
