As the title says: is the stretch between Mulsanne corner and Indianapolis open for viewing somewhere?
I'd love to get some high speed flyby's and as Hunaudières is more or less sealed off I'm wondering whether there is any good/legal viewing point?

More or less sealed off. Can get to the marshals camping area at the outside of Indy if you walk or bike through the woods at the south of Beausejour and reasonably well behaved. In previous years there has been a vantage point with no catch fencing as they break coming towards you go take Indianapolis. Rockefeller crash in this part of the track a couple of years ago gives an indication of why they don't want spectators leaning up against the armco

They come past pretty quick if you stand at the very end of the Mulsanne viewing area, a few hundred metres after the corner. Obviously it's not really a full speed fly by though.

The Arnage viewing area extends back to (just about) the exit from Indy, but I don't think you can see the whole corner from there.

No viewing from there unless you're being naughty after dark but they are getting quote hot on chasing people out of the woods. That said, I lasted a good hour in the trees up from Mulsanne last year biggrin

This.

All well and good for those being respectful. Anyone who gets there and uses a flash based camera (or causes similar distraction) however will be taken out and shot at dawn by the rest of us. It's just not cricket.

You can view from there no problem, we did it year before last (unless its changed last year) on the outside of the track not the infield. If you want to get close to view at high speed, that's your spot. Can park in the trees too.
