Hi Peeps...Well i had to pop out in Poppy earlier and then on the way home i was sitting at a set of lights and the guy opposite me said.."Nice"..So i said "Ta"..So when the lights changed i thought I'm okay for about 2mm of rubber so left it there when i took off ...Much to the delight of a small group of chavs who cheered as i went screeching passed..Then when i stopped at the next set of lights the tickover was around 2000rpm which is very embarrassing... hehe

So pulled over and checked to see if the throttle plate was getting stuck as it was due a clean soon..That was okay..I noticed that the pedal needed a little bit more pressure to get it to move from stationery which concerned me a bit as I've had this in other cars..Escort i think..Got home ..Removed the steering wheel and took some pics...

"DOH!!!"

Got a very good friend coming over with a spare in the morning..What a result..Better get a couple made up..Always good to have a spare one...I found a small chocolate bloc which would of got me home if needed..But I'm going to replace it..I learnt my lesson with fraying cables on Delilah....

Glad i noticed it as i could of gone to the Diner the weekend and been stuck...Although there are always solutions or people to help...Cheers...Ziga

It's a crap detail. I made a quarter circle shaped block for the cable to run round so that it doesn't rub as it exits that hollow bolt.

Bloody TVR eh rolleyes

Zig, when you mention the Diner, have you seen the car gatherings that take place at the 7 Diner down by Fort Halstead?
We usually stay there when we're doing jobs at the Fort, sometimes you get rows of old 50s and 60s stuff in the car park, some of it Yankee biggrin
