Careers coach?

I'm early 50's and have been in the same industry for 20+ years, mostly in senior management roles. It's now time for a change to something completely different but I have no idea what that may be (although I'm pretty certain it won't be senior management, quality of life is now more important than climbing the corporate ladder).

A couple of people have suggested using a 'careers coach' but this tends to conjure up images of careers advice for woolly-headed school leavers. I guess there must be people how there that deal with the more mature job seeker - has anyone had any experiences or have any recommendations, particularly around the Bristol area?

There are plenty who can advise, including myself.

As you suggest it's going to be a lifestyle rather than career choice, you could do worse than giving some thought to what it is that really interests you and would make you excited to get up in the morning. Assuming bills of some sort still need paying, then identifying the minimum level of remuneration that you need would also be key. Then if you add in location to those two, that will go some way to triangulating some realistic options. Good luck!
