1994 MR2 NA - B Road Blaster

Since selling my thirsty E39 525 Sport and trying a sensible, fuel efficient 320d touring as a daily driver; I decided that I miss being able to enjoy driving! The idea of sacrificing some economy and comfort to drive something fun seemed like the best way to go.
After spending many an evening browsing classifieds and forums, I settled on the idea of an NA MK2 MR2, the mixture reasonable fuel economy and something that's rewarding to drive looked like the perfect car within my budget.
Speaking to a friend from back home who has owned/owns numerous MR2s, he mentioned his wife had upgraded from an NA to a turbo, so her old one was up for sale.. So I bought it! The car is a slightly leggy 1994 Rev 3 G-Limited (254,000km!) with the usual import spec such as climate control and electric folding mirrors etc. But most importantly it has no rust underneath! With the CSR coming from an enthusiast it also came with a few modifications; such as Turbo Bilstein dampers with Apex lowering springs, front and rear upgraded strut braces, TRD gearknob, 6x9s in boxes behind the seats, suede deep dish steering wheel and a Blueflame exhaust. Good times! Or so I thought...
The drive back from Lancashire to Norfolk was great, ride didn't seem overly crashy or uncomfortable - but then I drove it to work...
My route consists almost entirely of small B Roads that appear to have been maintained with no concern for anything other than the SUV community. So first port of call will be sorting something else suspension wise.
The plan for the car is also possibly quite unorthodox for most people who buy them...
I came to the conclusion that I am not going to frequent the local track very often, nor do I want to stance it with mega lowz to look great outside my nearest fast food outlet or cruising around the local seafront promenade gaining the nod of approval from stereotypical VAG fans.
What I really want to do is, DRIVE IT! So the aim is make the best B Road blaster come GT commuter car I can - so more compliment suspension but with some improvements elsewhere to keep it engaging, possibly trying to improve the cabin NVH a little, improve the CD player/speaker situation, maybe add some creature comforts too! But all with the mind of keeping it lightish and still being a great car to hustle down the twisties every day..
