morning all,

i will pick up my S1 at the end of the week. it runs p-zeros in the standard sizes. i imagine the elise is sensitive to changes in pressure?

what pressures should i run? should i drop them a psi or two in the winter weather?

thanks

Book psi is 23 front, 27 rear.

I run 22/26 on advice from bogie (but on Advans) and seems to be better. When they warmed up at 23/27 things felt a bit less planted than when run at 22/26.

Try both and see how you go. On these roads tho take it real easy, very very slippy and too many cars visiting the doctors.

yeh i thought i'd drop them a tad just to give better 'bite' in the cold and wet.

the tuscan gets its pressures dropped to 23 all round from 25 usual in the colder weather so i was working that the elise would like the same.

i'll be taking it 'canny' (carefully) for the first few weeks anyway.

also:: can i ask what fuel people use. i have an esso and a BP near me. shell is miles away.

would 95 unleaded be ok for day to day with super or optimax for blasts?

The Elise doesn't have the sensors to recognise the better fuel so there is no gain to be had from using optimax, though the occasional tank for cleaning the fuel system maybe useful.

Mine runs on regular 95, generally from Sainsbury's - Optimax actually made it feel worse so it's only ever had one tankfull since last Feb when I got it.
