Chim 400 has gone for its Service today. There are some obvious things which needed sorting and have given the go ahead - what sort of cost do you think I am looking at ?

New back break discs and pads
New radiator
6 new plugs

I know the cost of the service.

Suggestions as to how broke I can expect to be on the above 3 points would be good.

Thanks

Toby

In all honesty 'No'. Why you may ask ?

Main reason is 2 fold. Firstly the 3 mentioned parts are an absolute must and if they need doing, they need doing, things just get worse and cost more in the long run if you hang on. Secondly, I am sure I could shop around and find someone who would do it slightly cheaper but the matter of the fact is, I have been using the same TVR specialist since day one, I trust him implicitly and if/when I choose to sell my car, he will be a very honest reference to any potential purchaser as any work has been done by him.

But I see you point in questioning.

I'm with you on this one, Toby. Leave it in the hands of a specialist you can trust.

I've been doing this with TVRs for over four years, the £££s are the least of things to worry about!

I'd go with a ton for the brakes, radiator - sorry, don't know - and I'd go for 8 plugs at about £40. Sure you don't need leads and caps as well?
