Can anyone help here?

The guy who sits right by me at work wants to find an indie specialist for his Type R somewhere around Reading/Basingstoke area.

Anyone with happy tales and recommendations?

When I saw the thread title and author, I thought for an aweful moment that you'd sold the Cerbie.

Try these guys :

www.tgmsport.co.uk/index.php

The website isn't up to much yet, but they do know about Honda's !!

They are based in Fleet, just off J4a of the M3.

The main chap is called Tom Gannon, and he currently races a DC-5 in the Britcar Endurance series. He is also an authorised Spoon dealer, and can source anything else you could really want from the US / Japan.

I've had work done there, as have many others I've known, and no one has had a bad word to say.

He was building another Britcar spec DC-5 for a customer as a trackday car when I visited, - so anything else should be a doddle.

They also have a very good bodyshop - I believe they do all the paint spraying, etc, for the Carlin Motorsport cars...

It's worth going down for a chat with Tom, as he is a no-nonsense type who will advise on what actually works, rather than what's fashionable ...

There are usually some interesting cars lurking in the background to have a nose at as well !!

Hope this helps,

Andy.

Not sure why he is after an independent?
I would heartily recommend chiswick honda as they looked after my NSX and were extremely good.
