Picked up my '01 ZT on Saturday. Love it - Love it - Love it!!!

However, I've noticed over the past couple of days that there's a high level of what I hope is road noise.

It's got 4 new PZeros and I gather it has the sports suspension which may amplify the noise.

Difficult to describe - not grinding, softer than that and changes in pitch as the car accelerates. I've tried free wheeling but the noise is still there so I'm thinking that if it is something, it may be bearings. But at only 30,000 miles???

Advice would be greatly apprcieated.

Dunno what to say matey
My 190 is fine. I have noticed though that they are a bit tyre sensitive. I've just come off Dunlop 9000s and onto Michelin sports and the transformation in grip, feel, lower noise levels and better ride comfort is staggering. (all for the better)
Doubt its wheel bearings unless someone has badly kerbed a wheel (is it scuffed, or even brand new thereby signifying earlier damage???)

Thanks Andy,

I took someone out in the car the other day and they didn't notice the noise - even when I pointed it out so I guess it's just me not used to the car.

Steve,

I've got a 160 too and also have a "noise". I thought it might be the start of a wheel bearing, but had it checked out and nothing was found. Also, like you, noone else can hear it. Spooky.

Vlad.

I've also discovered that Van Halen's Greatest Hits goes very well with the car and can obliterate any noise!!!

Oh, what fun!
