Having just purchased a 05 SLK55 I have noted from the service history that the spark plugs have never been changed. The car has only covered 28500 miles and has a full Mercedes service history. What do people think, is this a problem or should I wait until the next service to get them changed. One problem that I thought of is they may take some getting out.
thanks

They may have been replaced, but by an indy and not recorded. If you have no running issues then I'm sure they can wait until the next service.

The interval is 4 years or 60,000miles (I think). I'd have thought they will be fine for a while yet.

Mine have been done every 4 years as they should be. Seems a little OTT to me, but everyone I speak to say it should be done. They can probably wait until your next service.

I would highly recommend getting the transmission fluid done too, especially if it has never been done. Did mine earlier than necessary, but noticed a huge difference in shifting.

I've been led to believe it's more due to the issues removing them, more than anything. And for what it costs (assuming not at a main dealer!) then it's not worth putting it off.
