This bloody website is stopping me revising! Have my last exam (of the season) this Thursday and I should be buried in a book reading about Schumpeterian workfare state's but instead I am reading about some one possibly having a threesome!

Anyone else having serious trouble actually staying motivated during revision or is it just me?

Haven't revised for years! Haven't taken an exam since my A Levels, which were all of 5 years ago.

Anyway I know what you mean, my work productivity suffered at my last job, due the allure of PH.

My attitude was "if I dont know it now I never will!"

didnt cause me any probs.

I must admit though should be working rather than thinking about how to get a threesome!

serious point about revision, I can NEVER do it. I somehow manage to find something that I'd much rather be doing, even tho those things are frightfully dull given an actually interesting opertunity! I do stupid things like, tidying up messing a bout on photo shop, forums... anything to get out of doing what I have to.

It's a massive problem, and each time I do it i say to myself "I'm never going to do that again" but always do. And it's fair to day it's cost me dearly in the past .

Do it. Block access to pistonheads (sure that's possible) and get your head down. you'll regret it otherwise.

Give yourself a goal... if you do the revison reward yourself, but be realistic. don't read one page of notes, prick around on the internet, then say you've been working for 2 hours and go to the pub...

(If only i coud take my own advice)

Paul (good luck by the way)

I assume it's about the mental side of things. But what worries me is that there are 9+ books on the subject!!

Each woman has to receive individualised care so a holistic view is needed over their whole situation. If they live in poverty they may not be educated so will need extra help with hygene, diet, pets, drugs (even just the use of asprin) etc etc. Same as teenage mums may need extra support, people from ethnic minorities or the disabled.

Ermm, well perhaps I'm not that desperate! I have all the lecture notes downloaded and have just checked the library only to find some swotty gits have nicked all the best books. I reckon I could blag it though (the exam that is).

Top Fuel - Its so frustrating isnt it! Have a shelf full of books and have barely used them as I just cant take the information in. I read a page then realise I cant remember a damn thing I have read!

Read a Playboy mag alongside your revision notes, it normally helps to 'bed' the information...

'Holistic view.' A meaningless term bandied around all too much.

Anyway, sort yourself out man. Break open the biccies and settle down for a bit of hard graft.
Might I recommend a chocolate Hob Nob? The oats will provide long-term energy and the chocolate will give a quick boost and counteract the soporiphic effects of the syrup and the tedious reading matter.

Indeed your revision notes might counteract some of the tedious reading matter on here

Yep I was in the same position but kept at PH far too often! About 400 posts in a week or something daft!
Hope the exams go well, what uni are you at?
