I took these (and about 10more) the other night, all within a few minutes.

Which one works best?

I have no idea what really makes a good picture. I kinda like all of these, but if I were to say have picked just one to post, I don't know which I would.

BTW, I'd rather be told they are sh*t if they are.

Mark,
I think if you asked 5 different people you'd get 5 different answers. That's the the good thing about photography, ther are no hard and fast rules, no wrong or right, it's all subjective. Having said that I like number 2. Don't ask me why coz I don't know.

Martin.

#4, good sunbeams, and wind turbines. Crop off the top for a stretch landscape.....

Good job

Number 4 for me. I really like the way the sun beams are coming through that threatening cloud. A real cracker - as Mrs CVP would say "that's a keeper"

Funny thing is I think my fav' is No3. The one no-one has mentioned.

I was thinking of the theory of how a pic should be taken, eg rule of 3rd's etc.

BTW the turbines are over 3 miles away.

4 for me too! As said above, crop the top just above higher clouds. The small cloud on the left gives it better balance over 5 but with the same 'threat' effect from the clouds.

Usual caviat, I could be talking bollox? #

No. 4 for me.

Watch your horizons - best to keep 'em nice and flat (unless they were flat and I'm being an arse!).
