Found this whilst washing up at my Grandma's. She isn't sure what it is or used for, my best bet is to remove eggs out of water, does anyone know here?

Tasting soups and sauces?

Would the egg tool not have holes to let the water drain?

Scooping the fat floating at the top of a soup/broth type thing.

that would be a skimmer that has either a small sieve or spoon with slats/holes.
