Discovery TDi300 De-Cat?

Just about to purchase an after market exhaust for my 1998 Discovery TDi 300

I see there are lots of sellers offering a straight through middle section and a De-Cat down pipe

Will the car still pass the MOT with the cat removed please?

Is anyone using this set-up?

a de cat is worthwhile, removing the centre box can make it FAR louder, I know the turbo stops a lot of noise,

as to MOT never had a problem.
