So we managed to damage the wall of a cooper zeon on a rock. On my Audi, because of the 4x4 system it's recommended to change the two tyres on one axle. The Disco's tyres have only done 4k miles but what is the consensus? Change the one or do the pair?

Thanks in advance.

Is there q massively noticeable difference in the rolling diameter of a new one and the remaining "old" tyre?
If not, I'd replace just the one.
Audi say otherwise because Audi are, by and large, driven by pretentious tossers who lap up anything that makes their grey German saloon appear a bit special in amongst all the other grey German saloons out there.
And Audi like selling tyres.

I had a similar dilemma on my Range Rover recently and replaced both front tyres.

The good news is that tyre prices have fallen a lot lately due to the low price of oil, so you should get a good deal.

You can always sell the remaining good one or use it as the spare.

I've had my RRC for over 20 years & have only ever changed tyres as they've needed it. Never had any problems.
