Throttel for Vixen
Discussion
I am installing the Tilton pedalbox and the throttel pedal is another head scratching item.
Has any of you any picture or idea for a good solution?
(This item has been discussed earlier but without an result. See below)
And where did you place the pedals in the footwell?
Thanks Hans

I am bolting a Bias Tilton 600 series Overhung pedal box into the griffith replica But I am scratching my head a little regards what to do with the throttle pedal. The original Vixen affair was pretty hopeless and Tilton do a gold Plated one for a floor mounted pedal box.
Anyone got any ideas or know of a supplier of a reasonably priced stand alone throttle pedal assembly?
Neil.
Hi Neal,
I have the same set up ( second hand from internet) and now looking for the throttle assembly.
What is your (or others ) solution?
Thanks for any good idea.

Best N.
thanks for the clear pictures telling the complete storm.
Your solution keeps the water out, that's clear. Does your cable come out of the top of the new box?
And you are using the maximum width of the footwell. I had placed an panel along the right side for nice interieur detailing. But now I have less space for the pedals. Possible even not enough.
Can you give the dimensions over the full width of the footwell? Tunnel/clutchpedal/brake pedal/throttel /outside.
And can you rest your left foot beween tunnel and pedal?
The pedals in my original pedalbox have a different shape as yours only 10 to 11 centimeter spaced.
The Tilton box has the same space.
When I have your info than I must decide because I have to finish the job.
Other advises are or to expensive or not better than the original pedal I have. But still thanks all.

Its a triumph spitfire Pedal assembly Hans.
I just mocked it all up after looking at the problem for a while.
Then used some lightweight ally angle to make up the frame utilising an -S- shaped ally panel first on which the throttle pedal bolts
I fitted the s shaped panel with the throttle pedal with 2 self tappers then just mocked the rest up around it to make the frame.
The cable comes out of the top and the riv-nut with cap head inserted is a throttle stop adjuster.
The 2 panels will be finished with some U trim to neaten it all up after painting.
I use the same set up on the racer with a flat bulkhead panel.
Will dig out a photo.
