We have stayed in Honfleur a couple of times but this year maybe fancy a change. Have a hotel booked in both places so now need to decide which one to cancel!Anyone any thoughts on either of these places and any restaurant recommendations?

Thank you!

Deauville / Trouville is nice although can be expensive if you don't do some research. Deauville has a very prominent luxury casino hotel and luxury shops, but also has (walking distance away) a pretty good Ibis with a large car park opposite the entrance and plenty of restaurants and bistros serving Moule-Frites and more for reasonable prices. Also good golf and beach to walk on.

Thank you drybeer, it is the Ibis I have booked. Moules-frites/steak frites or similar will suit us just fine, any particular restaurant that stands out above the others?

Honestly can't remember names - but from memory if you walk out of the Ibis front door and carry on walking away from it you cross the river to the Trouville side. On the street to the left there were several all vying for your business for the mouse/steak walk by's. You won't find a problem getting any and some vino to wash it down.
