I need to replace the tyres on my 2009 997.2 C2S. The car is under warranty, so I need to use N rated tyres. I have used Michelin PS2s in the past, and they appear to be very well considered on here, so opted for them.

Front tyres appear to be readily available. However for rear tyres (295/30/19) I have been looking at my usual places today and many are showing no stock (Camskill, Event Tyres, Black Circles), and at least one is saying there is 'limited stock' (mytyres). I see that oponeo do have stock, but have never used them.

I am concerned about opting for a hard-to-find tyre, so as not to cause difficulties sourcing a replacement when the inevitable puncture comes.

Has anybody experienced trouble sourcing these tyres recently? Is a replacement due? Should I opt for a different tyre? Or am I being a plonker and the tyres are indeed easy to source!?!

Thanks in advance of any thoughts on this minor dilema.

I've just had 1 of my rears changed on my 996, granted its only a 295/30/18 but I went to Savoy as I got it done on my lunchbreak but they struggled to find one. Im hopeful they will be replacing all sizes with super sports.

I have just received my four tyres from oponeo. They came from France, deliver by GLS. I ordered them at 4pm Friday, and about £10 a corner cheaper than black circles.

I had a call from the tyre fitter today, he wanted to know if I was aware that the new tyres I bought were 4 years old?

Oponeo came back with" they shouldn't be more than 3 years old"

They are on there way back to France!
