Hi, I would be interested too. My warranty ends in November and need a 111 check. My service is not due for another year as its on long, but I would prefer to have it done after 10k rather than the set 20k service.
If you already have extended Porsche OPC warranty on your car, you can extend the warranty for 12 or 24 months without having to pay fir the 111check. However I think they do need to check the car and replace any fauly items under the current warranty. My warranty also expires in Nov 15 and I will also be extending the warranty.
Agree, just went through this myself with an OPC. Had the car serviced (major) and then decided to add an additional year of warranty some 2-3 weeks later. Was told that a 111 pt check was required at a cost of around £200. When I queried the fact that I had only completed 60 miles since the service and that the check appeared to be more comprehensive than the service and reassured them that I hadn't taken it to halfords to have a new beat box installed they were happy to knock a £100 off the cost of the check.
